Product Care

Although we only choose durable materials so that you can wear our jewelry every day, it is important to take care of it. Our maintenance guide gives you the best tips to keep your jewelry shiny for as long as possible!

The longevity of your jewelry depends on many factors such as your lifestyle, skin type, environmental factors and how you take care of it.

However, our jewelry is built to last. Wear them without fear of damaging them and let your style do the talking!

Some good practices

1. Wipe your jewelry when you take it off to remove any traces of residue that may have settled there during the day.

2. When you're not wearing your jewelry, wrap it in a soft cloth or in the Aurea Microfiber Pouch and store it in a low humidity place.

3. Avoid putting your jewelry in contact with household products, perfume or cosmetics. When this happens, simply wipe your jewelry to prevent the product from staying there too long and damaging it.

4. Even though our jewelry is water resistant, wipe it down when you get out of the shower, pool or sea to remove any high PH residue that may settle on it.

Stainless Steel

Jewelry made of stainless steel is the one that requires the least maintenance and does not require special cleaning, since stainless steel is an extremely durable material.

This material will not tarnish, even if it comes in contact with water. To keep the gold layer intact for as long as possible, we recommend simply following the good maintenance practices mentioned above.

Gold Filled

A gold filled jewel is the equivalent of a solid gold jewel. It will remain beautiful for decades, without any special maintenance.

We still advise you to follow the best practices mentioned above to take care of your jewelry.

Sterling Silver

Due to its composition, all jewelry made of sterling silver tarnishes over time, regardless of where you purchased it.

Indeed, since sterling silver is not composed of pure silver (7.5% copper), it tarnishes when exposed to humidity, sweat, cosmetics or other products. .

Luckily, it's easy to restore their luster once dark streaks have appeared. Simply polish the jewelry gently with a sterling silver polishing cloth. We therefore recommend polishing your jewelry from time to time to prevent tarnishing. If you get into this habit, your jewelry will always stay shiny!

Zircon

Cubic Zirconia (CZ) are excellent substitute stones for diamonds due to their look-alike and affordability. These lab-synthesized stones are very versatile since they can be made in multiple colors!

However, cubic zirconia does not have the same durability as diamond, so it is important to take care of it to keep it shiny for a long time. We recommend removing your cubic zirconia jewelry before bathing, showering or doing household chores. They will thus be less exposed to products that can make them dull.

To clean them, simply use a mixture of soap and water, then pat dry with a soft cloth.

Freshwater Pearls

Our pearls are grown in mussels from rivers or freshwater lakes. Culture methods for pearls mean that they can grow into a multitude of shapes and colors. This allows us to be more creative in the design of our jewelry and to offer you a distinctive selection.

For the making of our jewelry, a specific type of pearl is associated with each of our models. Even if each pearl is unique, the pearls of your ordered jewel will be similar to those of the product photo.

In terms of maintenance, the best way to keep your pearls radiant is to simply wear them. Pearls need to be stored at a certain level of humidity to stay healthy – and the moisture in your skin will help nourish them. You have to be more careful when wearing pearls, we recommend taking them off when you shower or swim in a chlorine pool. You can use a few drops of olive oil on a soft cloth to clean your pearls once every two years or so.
